Lipothiamine is now formulated as an enterically coated micro-tablet, contains 50 mg TTFD (thiamine tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide) combined with 7.5 mg of alpha-lipoic acid. Exclusive to TTFD, differentiating it from all other thiamine derivatives, is its disulfide bond, which facilitates penetration of the thiamine moiety into the cell where it builds up high concentrations of thiamine pyrophosphate and triphosphate, the active forms of vitamin B1 (by Cardiovascular Research).

Take 1 or 2 tablets daily or as directed by a physician. These tablets should be swallowed intact and not be chewed.
