Kirkman's Mission
Kirkman's mission is to enhance our customers’ lives by providing pure, Ultra Tested® supplements and being a trusted partner around their health.
Experience
Kirkman® is the leading manufacturer of nutritional supplements for individuals with special sensitivities and dietary requirements. Founded in 1949, Kirkman is also the oldest nutritional supplement company serving the special needs community. This experience has allowed Kirkman to pioneer effective products in many areas of nutritional supplementation for individuals with special health needs. For example, Kirkman vitamins, Kirkman multi-vitamins, and Kirkman biofilm defense.
Dedication to Quality and Efficacy
Kirkman has always been viewed as a quality leader in the nutraceutical industry. In the special needs community, Kirkman's reputation as a quality manufacturer is second-to-none. Safety and effectiveness are our primary concerns. We have invested heavily in the most up-to-date technologies and equipment to ensure that our customers receive the purest and most effective products in the marketplace. Most companies that sell nutritional supplements do not manufacture their own products and cannot guarantee their products' quality. Kirkman is a basic manufacturer, which means that we can enforce exacting quality controls at each step of our products' production. Kirkman is cGMP certified.
Kirkman's Purity Testing
In 2011, Kirkman introduced its Ultra Tested® line of products which are subject to the most rigorous purity testing protocol in the nutritional supplement industry. Ultra Tested products are tested for environmental contaminants, which far exceeds FDA requirements for testing or any current commercial standard.
Studies establishing evidence that environmental toxins may cause serious health issues, particularly for children, inspired us to raise the bar for purity standards in our industry. In recent years, the sources of supply for raw ingredients used in manufacturing both pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals have shifted overseas, primarily coming from China, India, Mexico and South America. U.S. supplement companies can no longer be assured that their raw material supplies are free of contaminants, since the countries supplying goods are virtually unregulated. Kirkman's purity testing protocol includes testing for pesticides (insecticides, fungacides, herbacides, biocides), endocrine disruptors and other potentially harmful contaminants. Scientists have linked the use of pesticides to the possible rise of childhood neurological disorders. Pesticide testing is uncommon in the nutraceutical industry except for herbals and botanicals. The truth is that many raw ingredients used in making supplements come from the ground where the risk of exposure to pesticides is common.
